Charity and Community

Each year the whole Froebelian Family, including the FPTA, supports designated local, national or international charities and community projects. Fundraising is a great way in which the whole school can work together on a common goal and maintaining this sense of community is very important to us.

In 2023/24 we supported WaterAid UK kicking off with the annual Form IV conquering of the Three Yorkshire Peaks where the children raised a record breaking £3111.00.

WaterAid is working to make clean water, decent toilets and good hygiene normal for everyone, everywhere within a generation. The international not-for-profit organisation works in 27 countries to change the lives of the poorest and most marginalised people. Since 1981, WaterAid has reached 28 million people with clean water and 29 million people with decent toilets.

Throughout year the school supports a number of other charities and community projects including:

  • MHA (formerly Horsforth Live at Home Scheme)
  • Young Minds
  • Jeans for Genes
  • NSPCC & Childline
  • Children in Need
  • Red Nose Day

Thanks to everyone’s magnificent efforts to date we have raised over £4000 for the WaterAid. Keep an eye out on social media to find out the final figure.
